Before founding Wellness Pilates, Leah had been working as a Reformer instructor, and leading the Ante and Post Natal department, for a boutique fitness company in Central London for many years. Within this role, and others, Leah has worked alongside physiotherapists to build programs to support a multitude of different clients. Upon moving back to her hometown to enjoy the countryside with her family, Leah has made it her mission to bring Reformer Pilates to the people of Hampshire and West Berkshire. She is especially passionate about the physical, social, and mental health benefits that her classes provide. Leah's number one goal is to improve quality of life by creating an environment where her clients can relax, release tension, have fun and make friends, all whilst priming their bodies to alleviate aches, pains and postural imbalances.
After spending over 20 years working across various sales roles in FMCG, Ruth was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid. Seeking long term changes to her lifestyle, Ruth fell in love with yoga and then reformer pilates initially enjoying the physical benefits, but soon recognising the long-term well-being she received from both. She wanted to share the benefits with other people and decided to re train, first as a yoga teacher with and then in reformer pilates. She continues to practice both as well as teaching at various venues in Basingstoke, Reading and Newbury. Her teaching style is informative and fun, creating a safe space to connect with mind, body and breath.
Hi I'm Jess! I started pilates in 2016 just as a hobby at first. I was a professional dancer and always in and out of jobs so, Pilates was my go to workout in between contracts. Lockdown hit and I decided to start my pilates journey by taking a full studio course in Ascot where I fell in love with pilates even more. It wasn't long before I was instructing Mat pilates classes around Berkshire and Hampshire and have finally landed myself working at the wonderful Wellness Pilates. In my classes it's my mission to challenge the body but also to celebrate our bodies and the movement it gives us every day. Together let's go that extra mile to make your time here at Wellness pilates positive, enjoyable and strengthening and most importantly fun. Can't wait to work with you!
Hi, I’m Andrew and I’m a graduate Sports Therapist from the University of Gloucestershire. Over the last 4 years as a Sports Therapist I have had the lucky opportunity to work with the likes of Gloucester city AFC, Oxford brooks RFC, Milton United FC, as well as St Edwards school Rugby team. These experiences have allowed me to work with a range of different people from the grassroots players to semi-profressional athletes.
Since the start of my degree I have gained extensive experience with injury assessments and rehabilitation as well as soft tissue therapy treatments including, deep tissue massage, MET techniques, trigger point therapy and general stretching.
I used to swim at a high level and like to stay active, so I understand the importance of rehabilitation and maintaining a strong and healthy body. I’m passionate about helping others to reduce their aches and pains and get back to what they love doing.
